Why was I charged for a cash withdrawal at an ATM?

Bitsa doesn't charge you anything for making cash withdrawals at ATMs, but it's true that most banks charge you between 1 and 2 euros for making withdrawals, those fees will be deducted from your Bitsa account balance.
